Post: Chief Executive Officer Full-time - Permanent Contract

Location: Wellington, Telford, Shropshire

Responsible to: Chair, Trustee Board

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000

Citizens Advice Telford and the Wrekin (CAT&W) is a highly regarded independent advice charity in Telford, Shropshire, serving a growing population of 175,000.

It has a paid staff of 29 (13.2 FTE) and some 75 volunteers. The organisation has a clear business and development plan in place.

 

This is a diverse role in which you will provide leadership to the charity to ensure it meets its aims and objectives. You will be an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board, you will oversee all operational aspects of the organisation, including planning and development, governance, service delivery and resource acquisition.

As a strong communicator, influencer and networker, you will build solid relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders.

A third of our funding comes from our local authority. We do however raise funds from other sources as a way of finding new and innovative ways of serving our community. You will therefore have a track record of successful income generation and managing strategic development.

As CEO you will have the vision and energy to ensure that CAT&W is well placed to meet future challenges. The role requires a CEO that can lead both our strategic development and the delivery of our operational services.

You will lead change within the organisation working with the staff and volunteers and developing a strong organizational culture which is supportive and inclusive of teams and individuals.

Thus, the ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated with a strong sense of mission and vision. They will have current experience of project and staff management, strategic development, business planning, partnership working, monitoring and meeting challenging performance targets. They also need a track record of successful income generation through fundraising and commissioning of projects.
